Hello: I am a "newbie" to this forum and kind of to classical music. I wonder if anyone out there could recommend a performance of both a vocal and instrumental version of a classical piece sometimes referred to as "Pilgrims Chorus". Also please tell this ignorant listener, the name of composer and official name of this piece. Thanks in advance to anyone willing to put up with my questions.
There must be more, but the one that comes to mind is the Pilgrim's Chorus from Wagner's Tannhauser. It goes da-DUM, da DUM, da-da-da-daaa-da ---- da-daaa-da. You fill in the tones, if it's the right one. The theme is also in the Overture.<BR>Shos
