I'm afraid there must be "cellular static" between Henry's planet and ours. It still reads like vocabulary in search of a specific idea.
Concrete examples of what you're babbling about would be helpful, Henry. As it is, we can only respond to what WE THINK you mean, and you have your deflector shields up.
Shos

ooh, you're gonna make a lot of friends with that post!

quote:
Reform in education and the media. sorry, I agree with Henry. i think we should do away with freedom. I think freedom of expression should be taken away from him. don't you agree Henry?
Eugy, speak for yourself about the retarded president. you're speaking for too many people when you say "EVERYONE else in protest" everyone is a lot of people. in fact, most people wouldn't protest against the war. but enough of that I'm not contributing to this s###.

I GET IT!!!
HR, you're one of the Boys From Brazil that got away, aren't you? Simply a failed macabre genetic experiment!
One of the things I can't figure out about you, sir, is why you chose this pit of snakes to land in. Did you think you were going to convert us? Enlighten us? Make us see the error of our arbitrary ways? NEWS FLASH: some of us (or dare I say, MANY of us) revel in our subjective, unpredictable, emotional, opinionated and arbitrary lives. Keeps us in touch with our humanity (oh, wait...that doesn't fit in with your perspective either, does it?) and gives us a sense of adventure (another no-no, I'm sure).
Please answer me one question: where is your happiness? No diatribes about plutocratic societies and your version of idealism, just what makes you happy.
Shos, LMAO!
Ben, I wonder if elucidation could be the opening of Pandora's Box?
E, I'm still chucklin'. That was about the funniest thing I've heard or read all week.

"To be a person of principle should not be a choice, but a rule."
Whose principles, Henry? Yours? Are you saying that it should be a rule to think like you?
Ben, My alma mater beat Duke last weekend, and Carolina last night. HR, I'm with Shos. You seem to be babbling. Could you direct your comment(s)? Have you looked at my question yet?
PS. While we're at it, would you mind adding a little more information to your profile? I feel (oops, there I go again, feeling and emoting! How sloppy!) it might give some of us out here a better sense of who (or what) we're dealing with.
[ 01-23-2003: Message edited by: operatenor ]

My, how cowardly! Well, if you must, don't let the door hit you on the way out! :p
PS. Does this mean I win the prize for stubbornness?

Henry.
you shouldn't run away, we like you. ;)
we only think that you're derailing this thread and your material more properly belongs in the "jokes" thread.
why am I not fighting in Iraq? firstly, no one here said that he/she supports the war. but let's say I support, i don't fight in the war for the same reason you are unemployed. I stick to the things I'm good at. I'd be a lousy soldier, pursuing a career as a musician would be the way to use my specific potential to the utmost. that way I contribute to the economy (taxes) that pay the soldiers who fight. I'm good at music (hopefully) - I do music. the soldiers are good at fighting (hopefully) - they do fighting. you are good for nothing (obviously) - you do nothing.
how simple.
Donna, a waltz is playing! wine, women and song. all the stuff Mr. Henry should check out to add some life to his (or its) miserable existence.

Hey Big, I think we've really heard the last of him.
Part of me still suspects someone was just having us on! You know, Haggis is conspicuously absent from all of this, and I think this'd be right up his alley. ;)
