i very much agree.
Twice i've been in the hospital with heart trouble.
Took a "boom box" and played light classical - Brandenburgs, "The Bells of St Geneveive" CD, Nutcracker, etc 24/7. It was sooo soothing, i'd awake in middle of night to it and just know everything was gonna be okay.
The hospital staff loved it . And it helps one sleep despite background hospital noise.

Queen, however, is a better background for physical therapy. Or bagpipes.

I had the LSO's Symphonic Queen CD with me in the hospital for the second hip replacement: it wasn't what the PT staff were used to but it worked for me.

I am quite impressed with the Queen Symph. I listen to it a lot.

I believe that classical music is excellent for your brain and attitude. I've listening this music since I was 14 and my adolescence was very very calm hahahahaha...!

Yes, I think that as well as the effect it can have in our daily lives. I always stream classical music as I work. I swear I can work faster, smarter and in a more relaxed manner. It sort of provides a tempo for the day. Of course sometimes, I can get a little distracted when a favorite piece comes on (this happens a lot with B. com!!). I also think that people who appreciate classical music tend to be a little smarter...I don't know if it's because of the music or whether they like the intricacies of the music because they are smarter. Of course intelligence manifests itself in many ways. So this is certainly NOT to say that only smart people listen to classical music or even that everyone who enjoys classic music, is smart (i.e....myself for instance )
