Mozart's Birthday

This past Saturday was the birthday of Mozart. How did you celebrate it? Did you listen to a particular piece of music or find a different way to honor the birth of this great man?

I spent the evening listening to Respighi and Bizet.

But then, I didn't know it was Mozart's birthday until I read the Ahem thread...

I did it up right.

My weekend consisted of:

Listening to Haffner and Prague.
Saw a production of Don Giovanni.
Then watched the Director's Cut of Amadeus.


Threw a little wine and dinner in there to boot. Excellent weekend. Next week it is all about Beer and Brats for the Superbowl though!!

Listened to one of Mozart's string quartets, and read some more of my Mozart biography book.

I heard some of the Jupiter Symphony during a car trip to somewhere. 251 and still looking like he's in his 30s. Go figger.

I listened to a musically-typical 2.5 yr old, and gained an entirely new insight and appreciation for the uniqueness of Mozart's abilities. An appreciation I mentioned to OT.
