I assume you mean overrated and underrated by this list...
underrated:
tier 1: Beethoven
tier 2: Mahler or Stravinsky
tier 3: Puccini
tier 4: Bartok
tier 5: Von Weber (maybe)

overrated:
tier 1: Handel
tier 2: Mendelssohn
tier 3: Telemann
tier 4: Rameau (maybe)
tier 5: Vaughn Williams

Kind of hard to imagine that anyone who makes the 'top fiifty' list could be considered underrated... :rolleyes:

Actually, I really just meant overrated/underrated in general, and not necessarily where they are on this list. But of course, chosing from the list.

Interesting that you chose Beethoven as underrated in Tier 1.

the thing is it's hard for me to evaluate how other people rate composers, so I take his concrete example. I think he underrated Beethoven by putting him in 3rd place. he's easy 1st according to my taste.

It's really hard for me to play this game. How the heck can I evaluate a list that omits Neil Diamond, and Mason Williams, and Hank Mancini, and the Muppets?

It's hopeless. List=horrible.
