Well start making your lists my friends. OperaTenor, the winner of the Top Ten Arias thread, as selected the new topic:

Top Ten Opera Choruses

Take a few moments to think of your ten favorite opera choruses, list them in order of preference, and submit that list to me no later than Monday, March 26th, 2007 @ 6:00PM EST. I will compile the lists and release the results later that same evening.

I have my list ready, so the first person to submit will receive my list in return (so I can't be a meanie and cheat... :twisted: ).

I just sent my list in, and something occurred to me: I made no mention of light or comic opera choruses in qualifying the contest. I intended it to only include grand opera, but if someone has already included something like G&S, c'est le vie.

I may have to buy some Italian sausage on the way home. It could end up as sausage and peppers :yum: or in a ratatouille :doubleyum:. Either one is very good with pasta or ciabatta, but both are even better with garlic smashed potatos.

Excuse me, I have to refill my coffee. And I may have to get out a couple of girl scout cookies... :popcorn:

Hmmm, nobody likes Russian Dressing? Did Barfle not vote?

I prefer French Fries ala Bizet. I would have chosen German Chocolate Cake ala Mozart, but the Wagner icing kind of turned me off.

Nobody seems to care for a slice of Porgy Pie? That's surprising.

I thought no meat Fridays was only on "Good Friday". Or maybe that is only in the Catholic religion?

In my family... it's no meat on Fridays..... throughout Lent :(

Had Crabcakes for lunch..... not bad... but it does not beat
a good hunk of beef............

For Catholics it is no meat on Fridays throughout Lent.

Ash Wednesday and Good Friday we fast - only one meal on those days.

Well, if you want Italian Sausage, there's a perfectly nice version made with turkey, available in your local megamart. I don't think you can make it with fish, though. You can have real sausage and peppers tomorrow, right?

You might consider a nice bouillabaise, or a cioppino. While playing appropriate French or Italian opera choruses. :guitar: Or you could always zip :scooter: on out to Sandy Eggo, snag some fish tacos :sombrero: at Rubio's. And they're doing their special crispy shrimp tacos again, too. Sadly, I don't think there are any Mexican opera choruses we could play for the fish taco meal.

Funny...if I had the choice, I would choose fish (seafood) over meat anyday. Unfortunately my better half has a severe fish alergy. I eat the stuff whenever I can and crabcakes are a fav. Try a nice slab of ahi tuna...very satisfying seared in sesame oil with a touch of ginger. Yum If you want a lighter fare, try monk fish broiled with butter and garlic
