Hmmm, now that we should be into new material, there's no new entry for today.

What? I looked at it earlier, and it was the last panel that I saw on the old site (magenta-haired buccanneeress with upraised sabre), the one that I didn't save off and you didn't see. It was there! Honest!

Just launched another browser screen and checked again. Still there. Are your IT geeks sabotaging you?

He was on a three-update-per-week schedule when he was with comics.com. I assumed he would maintain that schedule when he caught up on Go.

Well, it's there tonight from home, dated June 11. I wasn't in the office today, so I'll have to check tomorrow.

Yup. It's posted in the blog page - I've been keeping up with that as well as the strip. It's a cool panel, but like McEldowney I don't have any particular use for it. (I've got Piffany up as wallpaper, it's a protective measure.)

Has anyone figured out what the latest story line is about? I'm confused again.

Haven't figured it out yet. As far as I know, Pibby and Satori are stuck under the fallen tree, the liquidy-looking Pibby extraction is stuck in Roger's computerized magic-trap, Lena has hoe-whacked her Roger-poppet out the window, Dru is homing in on the phase-shifted Pibby signal, and Greg is still naked and abandoned on the ground somewhere. I hope he finds his swim trunks soon.

This is another original story line, and therefore not as easy to script-check as A Pibsummer Night's Dream was. Be patient, we're only 31 panels into the story. The Oognat story ran 68 panels long, the Henmellyn story was 63 panels, the Detective Story was 69 panels. I don't remember how long the Piano Ghost story was and I can't check because I lost that file in a computer crash :curse: None of those stories wrapped the threads into a nice, pleasing knot until a few panels before the end.

Be patient, all will be made plain. Eventually.

Any Sluggy Freelance fans out there? Pete Abrams is well know for the same type of non-linear story telling. Also he's not afraid to reach years back into the catalogue to bring minor characters forward and use them again in entirely valid ways.

The current story may have just made a turn toward thread-knotting. I think. I've been surprised before, though... :dunce:

Did you see that Pib, Dru and the spikey wood creature were guests at the 9 Chickweed Lane wedding this week?

I hadn't noticed them - I guess I was too busy chuckling at Seth promoting the efficient wedding.

Yup. That's Dru and Pib bracketing Gret, and Oognat right behind Greg. (BTW, Oognat is a Hair Fairy. Her duties consist of ensuring that people wake up with hair in their eyes and mouth. I believe she may have made a job change after her revivification, though.)

Hooray! Pibgorn has resumed!

Mr. McEldowney appears to have recovered sufficiently to draw panels. I rejoice!

I warn you, today's panel deserves a Class III Beverage Alert. Took me about four seconds before the joke translated, whereupon I breathed coffee, spluttered, fell out of my chair in helpless laughter...

What a fabulous start to the day!

It's worth noting that the comics website has a comments section. It's almost as much fun watching the fans guess Brooke's next move as it is anticipating it yourself! And it's back to five days per week!

I have a full collection of this particular story, although there were a few duplicates/alternate dialog panels tossed about when the strip changed sites.

Always fascinating, but it can be tough to keep up. I'm not sure how far back you can access, since the picture in my previous message has disappeared.

I also have this whole story arc saved off - with both versions of The Disputed Panel. Somehow, I lost the whole Ghost In The Piano story. I know I saved it, bit by bit, but the whole thing is no longer anywhere to be found. You wouldn't happen to have that one, would you? Anybody?

I can trade you the Borgia Cantus, or Henmellyn, or the Men In Black...

Also have A Pibsummer Night's Dream, but that's available in print so I don't feel right offering it in trade. Gotta support the cartoonists, after all...
