300

I saw this movie over the weekend. A really great film!

It's not a true historical account, as 1962's 300 Spartans tried to be, but the storyline does follow the historical accounts. The details, however, are all Frank Miller, and adhere more to Frank Miller's vision than to historical fact. That's not a negative, mind you, just a note to warn you if you're looking for a historical account of this famous battle. If you want historical accuracy, see 300 Spartans, if you want pure entertainment, see 300. I highly recommend it.

Has anyone else seen it and, if so, what are your thoughts on the film?

I'm anxious to see TMNT next. I have list of about six or seven current releases to see, but I'll probably only make it to about half of them at the theatre. Thank goodness for DVD's!

I was fascinated by the film. It made me consider what I stand for. What would I be willing to die for? How will I be remembered?

I loved the legendary-type visuals they gave to characters like Xerxes. He was nine feet tall, and very “god” like.

In summery, I thought the film was brilliant.
