What kind of dog are you?

OK, I just re-did this dog quiz, and I've gone from being an Italian Segugio to the dread-locks laden Irish Water Spaniel.

Beasts...? Um, wow. Do you not like them? I never heard of them until yesterday. I plan on doing some research on them. Simple curiosity, to see what kind of dog I am.

Anatolians are interesting dogs. They were bred not to guide sheep around, but to protect them from wolves etc. They are very territorial, and have been known to extend their territory to the entire block on which they live. They range from ~ 110 lbs (a small bitch) to over 165 (a large male).
They are beautifully configured long legged critters colored gold and black mostly. Some are cream. One of my amusing dog experiences was having a puppy who's back was hip-high to me, sit his 135 lb self down in my lap for snuggles. In contrast, we were warned not to make eye contact with his father, who tended to take eye contact as a personal challenge.

Sound sort of like Great Pyrenees, with which I am familiar. Live in the field with the sheep as an anti-predator sheep-guard. Difference is, unless you look closely the Pyrenees look like great big sheeps themselves. Sounds like the Anatolians are a little more agressive; the Pyrenees tend to discount and ignore humans unless it's feeding time.

Went back and ran the CATS questionnaire again. This time I'm a Field Spaniel.

I seem to come up consistently spaniel. I always figured myself more of a hound. Or, perhaps, lapcat.

I read quite a bit about them after it was matched to me. They are impressive dogs for sure. I can't say I've ever seen one before.
