Real Player Radio Pass connection

I listened all day yesterday on RealPlayer without a hitch. I clicked it on this morning, no problems.

Which version are you using? I have version 10.5.

Beethoven's 7th is starting up now!

The sad thing about this is with my new Bose headphones you can hear the quality
difference between Real Player and WMP....

I logged out and logged back in per Chris' suggestion
even re-booted my computer to clear the cache.... and still can't get in...

Oh yes... Beethoven 7th is great!!!!

I spoke too soon. I went to pour a cup of coffee, and when I returned, the signal was lost. I could not get back on by pressing the 'play' button, I just got the error message.

I logged back onto the site and clicked the 'RealPass' button, and got back on with no problem. We'll see how long it lasts.

I just cold started my machine....

logged in and out and could not get into Real Player.

after logging into Real Player a 2nd time... the B.com Stream came on....

Now that I'm finally back in.... Real Player stream is choppy...

keeps cutting in and out...

it's ruining the listening experience.......

I've had no problems since the one mentioned earlier. [knock on simulated wood...]

I do not believe it is a problem with the Real Stream (this time), unless it's regional.

Whatever it was... lasted about 5-8 minutes and has now stopped...

I think I may have this Real Player problem nailed down...

It appears the problem I've experienced is due to leaving RP signed on overnight.

The past two days I have come to work, logged out, signed back on,
bring up B.com, click on RP and it goes right in.....

That could be. I always log off at the end of the day and clear all the cookies and temporary files out of my computer before going home.

The frustration continues....

As stated in previous posts I have been logging off at night... logging on in the morning....
that worked for a few days....

NOW

I cannot get the B.com stream at all today....

Currently listening on WMP....

I want to support b.com... but the frustration level over paying for something
(and it's not a $$$ issue) where the service is so poor...... has to end soon............

I'm inclined to believe it is some problem with your installation or some other localized issue.

I will say that RealPlayer usually rebuffers more frequently than WMP, which is annoying. However, I did not experience any rebuffering issues yesterday (other than hiccough I mentioned yesterday in another thread), and have not so far today [knock on virtual wood again].

I think there is an issue with Authenticating Login's and then connecting through to the stream.
When I get the stream it works OK... I agree with you that RP rebuffers more than WMP....
BUT
It should not take 2 hours of signing in and out... and clicking on the Real Player Pass
to connect to the stream...

I finally got back on after 2 hours of attempts....
I listen on these new BOSS headphones and you can here the difference with 96kbps transmission
vs. WMP.... so I really want to listen via RP.....

I usually just have to click on the RealPlayer icon and hit the 'play' button and I'm on, since Beethoven.com is the only thing I ever listen to on Realplayer.

If I do lose the stream and get the 'not available' message, I have to go the B.com site to log back on. I have never been able to get the stream by using the RealPlayer menu. However, getting the stream through the site requires only two clicks - once on the 'listen Real" button and once on the "I already have a RealPass membership" icon. Even after clearing out the cookies I do not lose that. I'm not sure why yours gives you so much trouble.

When I do have streaming problems, they seem to be consistent with all listeners, i.e. either a Real Network problem or a Beethoven.com Problem. The only exception is the rebuffering. I cannot say whether that it is a local problem or a network issue.

The trouble I'm having is after clicking on RealPlayer... while on the B.com page...

it never loads the stream...

The bottom of the RP Screen flashes back and forth between these two messages...

Never gets to "Load" the stream...

Hmmmnnn... I have not yet tried deleting the "Cookies" Maybe that will help...

Re-booted my computer....

STILL getting the same problem after signing in...
RP says "Signed In" but when I go to the B.com link and click on
RP all I get is the following

RP never connects to the stream... but they are taking my money each month.

I just sent them an email (again) telling them of the problem.

I'm listening on WMP without any issues.

This just is not worth my time....

I have been doing that and all I get back is

I even cleared all cookies, temp internet files, rebooted my pc and still have not been successful.

Intermittently I try throughout the day and once in awhile I will get in....

I did send RP an email with this complaint...

Also, I noticed that It says Real Player "Beta" in the upper left side.
Could it be a new beta version that is causing this grief?

If you think it is... I will uninstall RP Beta and go back to their site and download
a previous version...
