WFMT subscription streaming

I understand that WFMT is a prolific supplier of programming for classical radio stations everywhere, but with all the free WWW streams, can anyone justify why one would want to pay $100/annum to hear them?

Several stations stream for free but ask for contributions, eg Classic King, WCPE. Classic FM publishes a monthly magazine including free CD's which you can subscribe to (I do). I suppose what keeps most stations running is advertisements.
