The high school graduating classes of 1943 in the U.S., Canada, and England saved the world from a “long night” of global Fascism that would have lasted for centuries.

We will probably never truely appreciate the gift of freedom those young men fought, bled, and died for.

Ronald Reagan's Speech to the U.S. Rangers on the 40th anniversary of D-Day. The video shows the cliffs at Point-du-Hoc they scaled in the withering, almost point blank fire from the German defenders. It is almost inconceivable to me how men could keep going in that environment. They really are “The Greatest Generation”
