WOO HOO!!!!

Postby OperaTenor » Thu Aug 28, 2008 4:09 pm

I just got my SDO contract in the mail.

I made core chorus, meaning I'll be in every show this season - I've *never* done that before.

I don't think it's sunk in yet.....

Oh, same old stuff... working and playing where I can. Picked up a nice bass bone about a year ago, and have been having a ball blatting away on that whenever possible. :D Still playing English horn when needed too. (Ha! How many orchestras have a bass bone/english horn player? Probably just one.) Having fun with my first motorcycle too, which cost about the same $$$ and sounds about the same as my bass bone. Other than that... just plugging along.

Had to turn down a scholarship offer at Boise State due to other obligations, but perhaps next year I'll be able to go. I'm happy with where I'm at and what I'm doing now, so that's alright for now I suppose.

Good to see all the familiar names still active on the board, along with plenty of new ones.

Again, congrats on the :deal: OT - and everyone else: Hi! :handshake:

Nice emoticon, haggis :).

I figure I'll take a picture of OT about Dec 15, then Altoid can show it to me every evening,
and remind who it is, so I recognize him in June.

Seriously tho, its great news, and we're tickled pink.

Ooooh, photos would be good, especially ones in opera garb, silly opera garb (is there a technical phrase for "opera garb"?)

I'm happy for you both. I'm inspired by Jim to once again try to bring my own dream to reality; to be the global spokeman for the scotch industry
