I love coffee.. drink of da Gods. Best coffee I've ever had is Blue Mtn Coffee from Jamacia. Next best was this stuff I tried in Quebec of all places.. I drink at least half a pot a day.. Love local brew here in PA, from a 7-11 kinda place called Rutters.

Some of these posts are belly shaker funny!

I've been a coffee fanatic since I was nine years old and currently have about eight to ten cups a day. I don't have a preference except that it's got to be robust. Most restaurants I visit serve excuses for coffee that would go right down the drain at home.

My heart's delight would be to re-create a debating coffee house of the 1600's to 1700's period (right down to dress, decor and theme) and conduct regular discussions with every variety of social commentator available to engage the clientele! That would be something! ... Really would be something!

Actually, I took the time to mow the yard, do dishes, listen to Morricone's The Mission sountrack, and read a little yesterday evening. When I got ready for bed, I noticed that the computer was still on, so I logged on briefly, then shut it off before retiring.

Well..I got 8 of 10. I missed numbers 2 and 3. I was near to selecting the correct type of fruit, but chickened out at the last minute and "picked" the wrong one.

I missed the percentage of coffee drinkers, the 'Arabica' question, and the definition of "french roast" (which I should have known), and two others I don't recall. I got the fruit right, and the legend.

I used to order coffee from the Lion Coffee Company. It was pretty good coffee. Kona coffee is excellent, but much too expensive for my liking. They offer a 10% Kona blend, but I've never noticed enough difference between the regular coffee and the 10% blend to justify the additional cost. I've had 100% Kona, and it was really good, but I'm neither wealthy enough nor discriminating enough to make that a habit.

My wife drinks that Lion stuff; its cheap and available. Some Kona boutique are supposed to be pretty good. Oahu generally not good. Kauai has one or two good.

10% Kona, a brand name I don't remember, is available at McDonald's, and I hear its pretty good.

There are a number of coffee companies in Hawaii: Sweet Okole, Hawaiian Isles Coffee Company, Old Hawaii Coffe Company, Hawaii Coffee Company, etc. Lion Coffee is probably the best known outside the islands. They made their name in the mail-order business, and their products used to be popular as promotional give-aways (which is how I first became familiar with them). They now stores stateside, as well as display racks in many island-themed shoppes (Hilo Hatties sells their product).

I believe the Lion Coffee brand originated in Ohio....
