I agree with you on Peter and the Wolf, (particularly the Jonathan Winters version), but I like both the Cuban Overture and the Carnival of the Animals (particularly the Peter Schickele version).

I could easily do without Serenade for Horny Tenor by Benjamin Britten, as it gets a bit tiresome.

I borrowed a couple of sets of CDs from my brother-in-law (wife's brother, not sister's hubby) and have been enjoying them again. Some of the humour is strictly British, but most isn't.

I've got Torville & Dean ice dancing for me today (spangly cobalt blue costumes) and I'm dancing along in my ergonomically spectacular desk chair. Second cup of coffee. It's a great way to start the day.

At least this is the abridged version, nice and short. I think Arthur Fiedler must not have been a fan, either. He conducts it as if he's in a great hurry to get through it. I guess if you've got to play it, that's the best way.

Ice dancing penguins. Today, Bolero has the penguins from that animated "Madagascar" movie dancing. Kind of a do-si-do thing. Very nice.
