Can't remember the name of the album

I heard a piece maybe last year, at the time it was a "new release". It was a woman singing in sounds and "ahs" etc. It was eerie and haunting sounding. I believe she was Italian, I thought the name of the album had the words "Water" or "Sea" in the name.

Can anyone help me find this?

Did the piece sound like the one featured in this video? If so, it's Vocalaise by Sergei Rachmaninoff.

I'm not able name an album, sorry, but if indeed this is the work you had in mind, then finding a good recording won't take long. Vocalaise came up because someone else in another forum, many moons ago, wanted a piece with a similar description identified, and it turned out to be this one.
