Shapley,

I just cancelled RP. You must do it via the toll free number they provide.

Please be aware they bill in advance.
When I asked the rep if billing stops today, he said no... you have paid through the month of March and can use RP..... until 4/1/08.

I told the rep (who could not speak english) that RP discontinued the B.com
stream over this weekend and now expects users to pay for the whole month.....
A few choice words transpired... but the rep finally told me they would credit me for
the March 08 charge. They have some nerve....

If I do not see the credit on my next statement the only other choice
would be to dispute the charge with your credit card company.

It's a shame as all the problems with the stream... logging in was finally resolved
they pull this crap....

Good bye RP.....
and
Good Luck to B.com finding a better company to do business with!!!!!

Hi Folks-

We have ended our relationship with Real... too many problems led to the termination of the contract. But.... We have a few new options in the works that may work if you like Beethoven in a high def stream! We are looking at 126K options and a few other deals are being looked at. We will be posting information on the website next week so keep checking the homepage for more info.

In the meantime, you can listen to us for free with the Windows Media Player at Beethoven.com.

Thanks!
Nicole

I cancelled my RealPass subscription yesterday, the same as T/M. I let them know why, as well.

T/M, I paid the annual rate, so I was paid up through July. They said they would refund me the full year, even though I said I would be happy if they pro-rated the refund.

Nicole,

Thanks.

Shapley,
I'm shocked they pro-rated you so easily.
I had someone who kept telling me of all the great features on RP.
I told him I did not care for the features and was ONLY using RP for B.com.

They did not want to refund the Bill in advance monthly charge....
That's when I got pissed......... If I cancelled for my own reasons, then OK.. I bite the bullet
But they discontinued B.com so they have to eat the charge....

I look forward to hearing about the streaming opportunities we will be presented with!
Thanks for the Update Y.R.H.! :flex:

Can you recommend me a good media player for windows xp? I'm tired of windows media player! It's so slow and crashes for no reason when playing large media files. Can you recommend me a good media player for windows xp? Freeware if possible!

Hello, Sandara,

Welcome to the B.com BB!

Sadly, Media Player is about as reliable as I've seen. If you read this thread, you'll know that RealPlayer had its problems, as well. Real Player did have a much better sound quality, IMHO, but also had more problems. However, I still have it installed on my computers, though I use very infrequently. The newer versions of Realplayer may be more reliable than the older ones. Realpass and Rhapsody are pay services, but Realplayer itself is, or was, free.
