Keep in mind that men (meaning..people/mankind) wrote the laws...ergo, the laws are flawed as well.

True, but laws can be changed and adapted. They are usually the result of decades or even centuries of experience and observation of human nature, and what helps civilization and what harms it. Hastily prepared laws usually fall by the wayside, but the laws that form the basic foundation of civilization are ignored at peril.

People change too. Just look at the Klingons. After years of being a warrier race, they are now settling into peaceful society.

I don't care if elected officials have affairs, its just when they spend taxpayers money to do it... apparently at least one of his flights to Argentina was footed by taxpayers. I sympathize with the residents of SC. Our (NY) governor (Eliot Spitzer) resigned after his dalliences - but he was paying prostitutes (illegal), so real good reason to get out. Too bad too, seemed like he might have done good things for NY.
