Thus, if Goering (or whoever wrote that) is correct, as long as there are men, there will be war, and thus there will be history.
In one of the books of The Chronicles of Narnia series, there is a line about there being 'long expanses of peace in which the historians had nothing to write about but the passing of kings'. That may be true on Narnia, but I don't expect we'll see it here on Earth.
