Postby klopez » Thu Oct 22, 2009 11:02 pm

Hello! My name is Kat and I am currently a senior of San Diego State University (Class of 2010...Go Aztecs!!!!) and I just wanted to say that I <3 Beethoven Radio!!! When I am in the library doing homework or at home after a long day I have the live stream playing in my headphones!!! I was referred to this website by one of my sorority sisters (Lambda Sigma Gamma Sorority Inc., Kappa Chapter, SDSU...shout out to all my sisters!) and I have not stopped listening!!! So all you other listeners not in the East Coast area I wanna know....how did you hear about Beethoven Radio? Who or what has brought you to it? What do you like about it?

Hi Kat, welcome to the Pit!

There are several of us here from Sandy Eggo, so you're in good company! :D

Please post often!

I just happened upon B.com while searching for an internet radio station back in 2002. Great music, and great people.

Hi Kat...I am one of the "West Coasters", living in the wine country (SF Bay Area..north). I have always loved classical music and enjoy streaming while I am working. I actually found B.com when browsing some various stations to listen to on thenet. I liked the format, liked the people and liked the BBB, so here I am four years and 3275 posts later! Welcome to the BBB.

Heh. I'm right across the freeway and over the hill from SDSU - I use the College Ave on-ramp most weekday mornings on my way to work. Piqaboo and OT and Great Carouser are Sandy Eggans, too. Plus, no doubt, a few listeners that don't yak on the board. One of the other ladies in my office listens, but doesn't usually say anything.

I found the station by accident on the Windows Media internet radio listings, while looking for something that would make it into my cube over the Internet. Radio doesn't make it through the steel in the building walls at work, can't work all day in silence. Liked the format, and I'm still here quite a while later.

I live in rural Arkansas, fly-over country to most folks.
It is hilly, pretty countryside with lush woods and lots of streams.
Winters are mild.
Population not very dense.
There are only three traffic lights in my whole county and Ford 8N is most popular vehicle.
Nobody cares if i target practice in the front yard.
it's a day or two drive to most anyplace in lower 48.

How'd I find Beethoven.com?
I used to live in Miami, then the keys, and was a listener to WTMI FM radio since early 1980's.
When Woody Tanger started the Beethoven internet radio station I signed up; I'm the nutcase who emailed Lyn Farmer about "DeSade's Massacre for Saxophone Chainsaw and Tomcat".
When WTMI switched to "dance" noise I left Florida.

I live in Cambridge, New Zealand, and found BR while surfing the net for music. I like the people who post here, so I've stayed.
