Looks like you got the keyboard fixed, or had a spare... :)

Hello All! I haven't reported in some time. I hope all of you are fine and dandy. :)

And here to report my most recent additions: finally I have Mozart's symphonies -- the complete set with Charles Mackerras and the Prague Chamber Orchestra. I first came across these performances here at BR. Back then, the whole set was selling at a price a couple of cents shy of $100 (and which is still listed on Amazon, by the way), but last year it was repackaged and is now selling at a fourth of that price.

And entering my collection for the first time (in a way) is Haydn. For the bicentenary of his death, Sony has brought out a box of the symphonies recorded by Tafelmusik and Bruno Weil. It has 21 of his symphonies, including most of the S&D and all the Paris ones.

And finally, the Op. 33 string quartets, played by Quatuor Mosaiques.

Even though I love the music from the Classical era, I had very little of it represented in my collection. So now I have lots of listening ahead. :D

I have to give a hearty 'thumbs up' to Barnes & Noble and to UPS. I ordered the boxed set: Sergei Rachmaninoff: His Complete Recordings three days ago. Two days ago I received an e-mail from Barnes & Noble that the shipment was delayed. Yesterday I received an e-mail that it shipped yesterday. When I got home yesterday afternoon, it was waiting for me at the house.

They must have pulled it off the shelf at a local store to accomlish that!

I bought a two-disc box set of Hayao Miyazaki soundtracks: Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away. Those of you who subscribe to the Beethoven.com commercial-free stream will be familiar with the Princess Mononoke soundtrack, because B.com frequently uses it as a filler at the end of hour. I enjoy the piece, and the entire soundtrack is not bad.

The Spirited Away soundtrack is less impressive. It has a couple of decent pieces, but overall I'm not impressed. Had B.com not sold the two-disc set for same price as the Princess Mononoke soundtrack alone, I would probably have given it a miss.
