Happy New Year everyone!
My brother turned 40 on New Year's Eve (we partied on New Year's Day). His wife commented that when she reaches a decade mark she thinks about where she was 10 years prior and will be 10 years later. She realized that in 10 years their eldest will be home on his winter break from his first year of college! And, of course, 10 years ago, he hadn't been conceived yet... Just seems crazy fast.... I just keep wondering how many of my schoolmates will be grandparents when we attend our 20th high school reunion this summer... and my kids are only 3 and 6.... but obviously conceivable (ha, ha) that some will be grandparents already. Still glad I took the slow route even if, at this rate, my parents will have to live into their 90s to be great grandparents. There is longevity in both families, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed....
