I ordered the movies Red Cliff and Red Cliff II from B&N (The local store didn't have them both). I enjoy the music, and the reviews look good.

Was all pissed that one of my programs got confused at me, and my whole computer decided it needed to restart so I was missing the Star Trek music. but got back on in time to hear the good Klingon theme from the first movie. Love that bit... :D

I really like that soundtrack from Independence Day. I always listen to it when I am riding my road bike....Silly as it seems, it spurs me along on some of the tough hills and its really great when I push through them. With a beautiful sunny and reasonably warm day here in NorCal, I might just hit the road after work today (working from home today). Gotta get in shape for summer, although skiing last weekend was phenominal.

The St. Louis Symphony performed it last year, and I had to miss it... :(

It is one of my favourite works, and I have yet to see it live, as well.

We'll just have to keep an eye out for it. I'll let you know if it comes 'round my area again.

It's likely to be rescheduled some time in Auckland, so I shall go then. The new organ in the Auckland Town Hall is fabulous.

Bar and I saw the National Symphony perform it at the Kennedy Center about seven years ago. They have an instrument that is up to the task.

Too bad I missed it on b.com

The Nashville Symphony has an organ that is also up to the task, which was dedicated just a couple of years ago, I believe. However, I've checked the schedule and they don't have the 'Organ' Symphony in the offering. They do have a solo organ concert coming up, though.

I think I've mentioned this before, but parts of Brahm's 1st Symphony remind me of Ennio Morricone's movie sountracks. Most notably, I think, is the Story of a Soldier from The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly.

B.com broadcasts the local High School sports as part of their programing for the usual commercial stream (free stream). You can have 100% classical music (and a better quality listening experience by becoming a B.com member and subscribing to the commercial free stream. Give it a try ...it's about $10 per month or you can buy a year for a discount
