Life threw me a curveball in April of 2008. I was laid off from my job of 19 years. After 7 months of diligent searching, I finally landed a new job. Much lower salary, tougher work, longer hours.

In the meantime I was in a relationship of almost a year that ended badly. Then another of 2 months that ended badly. Yikes!

But through it all I have maintained my sanity and continue on. I have done a lot of woodworking lately and will soon finish up two huge projects that I started years ago and put off. For any of you who use FaceBook, look for me using "Tim Beauregard Winston Salem" and you should find me with no problem. Send a friend request. On my location, I have photo albums of all the woodworking projects I have done through the years.

So Selma, the pen is still good? Keep in mind that if it ever needs refurbishing, I have the tools to disassemble it, refinish, and reassemble. I remember you once had a mishap and fixed it yourself.

Where is the prolific OperaTenor/Piqaboo duo? I would have thought they'd reply by now. Speaking of Opera, I have been attending regularly. This coming Sunday will be a performance of Verdi's "Il Trovatore." Can't wait!!

Warm regards to all,
"Tim Beauregard Winston Salem" (on Facebook)

Opera Tenor is on facebook, and puts in an occasional post here. Piq is here quite often.

I'll send you friend request via facebook, and recommend the B.com members with which I am also friends.

Good to hear from you!

Dude, we've got some 45,000 year-old New Zealand kauri wood for you to make some pens out of, if you're interested.

Wow Bones! It has been a while for you too. Now we just need to have Shos! Though I keep in touch with Shos... still like to see a post or two from the man.

Checked out some facebook pages and it looks like OT wins with the number of friends. Shap you have more than I, Tim also. I think I may have a few more than Jamie but.... not much.

I feel slighted that I didn't get a friend request, along with OT and Tim... ;)

I have a small but varied group of friends, including a few I've met on my travels and online. Most of the younger ones are friends of my sons, who get confused by the identical names and are too embarrassed to de-friend me when they realize it's the old geezer they've found rather than him. Some of them also think they have to be my friend to tag themselves on my photo page. :)

One of my son's former teachers joined facebook this Summer, and has over 3,000 friends already. He is quite the popular guy. But, he's been teaching for 30+ years, I believe, so he has a lot of ex-students and their families.

I don't know if you could handle seeing Marye on Facebook. She puts that former Miss Universe from Canada to shame.

I see Tim has a piano-restoration project posted on his page. Looks like a work in progress. Let's hope the piano doesn't get left behind... :)
