Point of clarification:
I probably am captain of the pirate ship, as you may say, but I am quite serious in the content of the postings here.
Now what I am about to write is said tongue and cheek, I am not about to lose it or freak out, but I heard this on the dreaded cultural wasteland, Sports Center, the other day and it reminded me of this board lately. So I have changed some of the words to fit this topic - here it goes.
Warning: Sorry a Rick Pitino (appropriate for some of the sports negativism I read here the other day, but did not feel the need to criticize) anti-negativism "rant" here:
Like I said, the handwringing and gnashing of teeth seem to be the big movers around here....and that stinks.
And some of the fans. Beethoven is not walking through that door. Mozart is not walking through that door. Bach is not walking through that door. And if they do walk through that door, after I get over my heart attack, I am going straight to church and brush up on my Hail Mary's.
What we are is young, exciting, hard-working, and we're going to improve. People don't realize that, and as soon as they realize those three guys are not coming through that door, the better this board will be for all of us because there are interesting people here that have diversified interests.
This is what we are, and that's it. So you have two choices. You can get upbeat and positive for the future, or you can get negative. And I'm saying getting negative and being frustrated is not the best solution. Being positive and upbeat and having hope for the future is the best.
Negativism and stuffiness makes the greatest music in the world rigid and self important.
ok, done.
Sorry, didn't know the rules of the "game", did not mean to steal the thunder.

Don't get saucy with me, Bernaise!
