Sorry, but me stupido! What does IMMHAIO stand for?<P>Just to let you all know, I'm now home and getting settled in. I think it's probably going to be one or two months before I'll be back to work. My lurch is starting to look more and more like walking. :D I think I'm going to miss being waited on, though.

That was the key to my ability to post so much on the job before. Keep your eye on the prize, Big.

For you folks who are curious, an update:

Last Thursday I had a follow up appointment with my orthopedic surgeon. He was very pleased with my progress, and gave me permission to walk with no crutches (I'd been cheating, but didn't confess) and no more brace on my left leg. I still have a lot of physical therapy ahead of me to regain range of motion in my left knee and right shoulder. :) :) :) :)

My guess is that you'll always have some reminders of the incident: some ache or pain or limited movement, but it sounds like you'll be at least 99% once your recovery is done.

My bicycle accident left me with a shoulder that was sore for about a year, but after that there were nonnonononono lingeringinginging after effectstststststs.

Thanks for the update, and I hope my recovery estimate is low.

With a knee and a shoulder both, chances are fair that you'll become a whether man. You know, the guy who knows whether it'll rain soon. :D

It'll take a while to know if you're now a permanent member of the gimp club (I have this knee and this wrist. Left over from the time I came out of a tree the quick way. Common enough story.)

Anyway, it's nice to have official permission from the doc to do what you were doing anyway. Now for the PT - physio therapist or professional torturer, I forget which...

Glad to hear you're better! Now you can really start posting to BBB again! ;)

Once that shoulder loosens up, the keyboard strokes will go much faster.
