I see that now Barry Bonds, one of the steroid poster children, says he probably won't play this season (and may just call it quits).

Interesting ... sure beats having to submit to a drug test.

He had knee surgery.
I think he will take off until the steriod issue cools down. Maybe this year, maybe next.
If he quits, there will also be speculation that he was on steroids and didn't want to get caught.

If he was using, stopped, and then his performance dropped.. well... people will always suspect him.

I have baseball cards when he first broke in and he is a twig.

There is a clause in the MLB drug testing program that if a player is undergoing treatment for an injury, he is exempt from drug testing. I'm sure that Bonds will be "undergoing treatment" for his knee injury all season long.

Gotta love the loopholes.

Wouldn't baseball cards be a great, Photo Story presentation? Just imagine year seing the contrast in the bulk of the steroid boys though the use of baseball cards!
