He played his subordinates off of each other to promote infightingand rivalry among them, in order to secure his dominance. He utterly deceived the german people, the countries he occupied "bloodlessly", the rest of the world, and his subordinates. These are mere examples, and I could cite much more. This may be an example of principle, but I would have to say it's a truly reprehensible principle.
Additionally, what good is a principle if it is truly and utterly evil? :(

I get this mental picture of Huck and Adolph, fishing on a raft in the Rhine, playing pirate, and smoking corn silk in their corncobs!

Hey YRH, I realize I'm partly responsible for all of this, but maybe it's time to kill this thread before it kills us!

Alright, then, what is gelato? (Too lazy to look it up in the dictionary.) I live in the sticks, you know, and we feel fortunate when there's a day that we don't have to tend to a stinking pile of ####. These big city novelties are all news to us.

Ethan, I'm so glad you asked! It's Italian ice cream. "So what?", you may ask. It has less air in it than what we're used to, and is therefore richer and more flavorful, but beyond that, it seems to be smoother as well. I would say it has more "gusto". I have yet to find an American equivalent that holds a candle to the Italian stuff (I believe we had an earlier debate about the difference). If you ever go to Italy, watch for the pickpockets and absolutely have some gelato!
Henry, have you ever tried gelato?
[ 02-06-2003: Message edited by: operatenor ]

I'd always thought gelato was watery ice cream. Is it not? Does anyone have a recipe?

oops, sorry to inform you roadie, but according to a recent post on this thread you are "a stinking pile of ####" :D it said that whoever next posts on this thread non-gelato related stuff will be declared that. hahahahaha. OK the next one to post on this thread non-gelato related is a #### son of a ####.
(this part of the thread derailing process, roadie). ;)
