Alright, then, what <I>is</I> gelato? (Too lazy to look it up in the dictionary.) I live in the sticks, you know, and we feel fortunate when there's a day that we don't have to tend to a stinking pile of ####. These big city novelties are all news to us.

Ethan, I'm so glad you asked! It's Italian ice cream. "So what?", you may ask. It has less air in it than what we're used to, and is therefore richer and more flavorful, but beyond that, it seems to be smoother as well. I would say it has more "gusto". I have yet to find an American equivalent that holds a candle to the Italian stuff (I believe we had an earlier debate about the difference). If you ever go to Italy, watch for the pickpockets and absolutely have some gelato!<P>Henry, have you ever tried gelato?<p>[ 02-06-2003: Message edited by: operatenor ]
