How interesting...
I'm always willing to learn about a culture that I'm not to familiar with.

My wife and I visit art museums. They are the only places we normally come in contact with Buddhism or Hinduism. About a decade ago we attended a Hartford festival celebrating the 50th anniversary of India's independence from Britain. This might be a good place for any posts about up-coming events regarding Indian secular or religious celebrations. We have not gone yet, but Wesleyan Univ. (Middletown, CT) has some Indian dancers on their programs for the public each year.

AND we enjoy our local Indian restaurant.

Shos,

When next in DC, you must visit the Sackler and Freer Art Museums (both are part of the Smithsonian). Both have stunning collections of Asian and Indian Art, especially Hindu and Buddist treasures. These lesser known galleries are two of my favorites on the Mall.
