Having witnessed several episodes of menopause, one more time, I'm glad I'm a guy.

In-a-gadda-da-vida is great fun in an almost dark room with people so close you can feel at least five of them and sound level approaching 100dB. At least that's how I recall it.

A couple of other great pieces are the long version of "Light My Fire" by the Doors, "I Heard It Through The Grapevine" by Creedence Clearwater Revival, and (believe it or not) "Get Ready" by Rare Earth. Definitely the golden age of Rock!

Actually, I like Gabbers whole list. Add to it, Queen, Lennon/McCartney when performed by actual musicians, the Eagles, Kansas, the Police. Abba (yes, hold the abuse, I like to sing along with Abba)
Marc Anthony (exceedingly appealing eye-candy as well as fun to listen to. Sets off occasional hormone surges.)

Stevie Wonder's background rhythms. Compelling, or what?

Roy Orbison. Bobby McFerrin. Chick Corea.

Carlos Santana. Andres Segovia.

I like lots of the stuff my kids play, but I can't ever remember their names. It's pathetic.

What about the Ramones, Black Flag, Fugazi, Bad Brains, Buzzcocks, Dead Kennedys for some punk bands. Some of these bands are still recording.

Dylan is great. The Stones should have hung it up after Sticky Fingers.

Selma I am so disappointed! Kansas, the Eagles, Marc Anthony!!!!!!, the Police. This was all corp rock of the 70's. You forgot Boston, REO Speedwagon & the worst band I have ever heard, Journey! I can take the shots, c'mon.

I could never get past that voice. Does anyone remember David Letterman's 10th anniversary special on NBC? Dylan was on, and when he sang he was way, way out in orbit. He was so far off his backup singers were looking at him with relatively horrified expressions on their faces! He wasn't able to even sing the refrains with them.

Now Boston - that's one amazing band! Heavy metal, and you can actually understand the words. Howdaydoodat? "Long Time" is probably one of my favorite heavy metal songs, with "Cum on Feel the Noize" by Quiet Riot not far behind.

Dylan's been around the block a few times. "Lay, Lady Lay" is quite nice (even in QUAD!), but he's gone through more phases than the moon.

Bob should never have been allowed to sing, he's another composer/songwriter/poet that needs an actual musician to perform the stuff.

Also, anyone more than two miles high should have their mike switched off. And relocated. Preferably to the dressing room. Or the back alley.
