<sniff>I'm so proud. I got it right.

I'll take what credit I can get, as I have not a prayer of ever getting the bio right. Not a clue. No idea where to find a clue.

Another untouched field of ignorance I've discovered...

This is a link to a story all motorcyclists must read. Also Texans, police, and animal rights activists.

Bring kleenex. I haven't managed to read the story through without mopping, yet.

Squirrely story

One evening I was riding my 10-speed bicycle home from night school. It was dark, around 10:30PM, and I had what passed for decent lights in 1974. I was riding past a vacant field (unusual in Orange County, even in those days), when I glimpsed something moving from the field into the street, and my bike went "bumpbump."

I had the same thought you did: "Naahhh, I couldn't have hit a mouse with a 10-speed!" So I turned around and went back to look. Sure enough, a mouse with a very flat crease across its back, a little over an inch wide, was lying dead at the side of the road.

At least he didn't fight back.

Shall we resurrect this thread in a month or so, provided the camera batteries last the trip?

We'll have to petition H.R.H. to change the name of the thread, if we do, since she's the topic starter.

Clearly "curiously strong" (I hope my Brit mind understood the term correctly...) runs on both sides of the family! ;)

Okay, so we begin.

On these choir tours, the group mostly flies together, but since we were staying an extra week on our own, we ended up flying seperately. We were a little disappointed at that as we were hoping the other Grandmas in the group would like to take turns holding Altoid during the flight, especially as we had no idea what kind of traveler she'd be. She turned out to be a great traveler, and was as compliant as any one year-old could be expected to be to the tour itinerary. Here she is exploring the San Diego airport terminal:
