Let's Start a Band

It seems that we have enough people on the BBB to start a band. I play the double bass, OT sings... Who else plays or sings? Wanna join the band?

As always, the priority question that must be asked...what type of music? I play drums and have a very good friend who majored in music - plays guitar - primarily jazz and classical.

I play thy piano (one of the millions I'm sure.) Although in my day I was a virtuoso Bb Trumpet/Cornet player. I know I'm a little rusty though.

I'm in! Especially if the women go with that short skirt & high heel thing H.R.H. referred to elsewhere....

I can take off pretty well in the David Byrne/David Bowie type of singing. I rail on "Minnie the Moocher" as well.

Put me down for a background vocalist! OT's Tenor is certain to be lead vocal quality, so I'll be happy doing harmony. That stuff's FUN!

I would like to try to recruit Owlice, Mary and Serenity for vocals as well.

I'd want Bignaf, except last time we discussed his singing, he compared it to barfing....

Donna, we actually want to make appealing music. No bagpipes, accordions, Celine Dion or Charlotte Church allowed.

However, we do need one mo' backup vocalist, and we don't do what that a@@ of a chorus director did to you.

Unless you are planning on playing in a shower near me (which you had better not), you'll just have to find another vocalist.

One more vocal volunteer, here. I'm a nice reliable soprano, moderate sized voice. Unless I'm stuck with this durn cold for the rest of my life, in which case I can give OT a run for his money.

I will also bring my kazoo.

Also willing to take up the violin, and accept bribes not to play.

I think Ben o'Den's attic would be a perfect rehearsal site, I think he's the most nearly central for this crowd.
