I played drums back in the 60s. I can still play a little blues harp, if I can find my old Hoehner.

I seem to recall that Tim knows some bathtub kazoo players.

No, it's a dainty beglittered lace glove, with wrist feathers. Silly man, what would I do with a gauntlet.

You have no idea what a lovely tenor I've been for the last week or so. In between coughing spells, that is. Natural talent and decades of training have no chance, weighed against the random effects of a nasty virus. And the whole achy and cranky thing gives me a certain edge.

There's no chance at all, at all, that you want to try to outsing me live; you'd end up singing basso profundo for a month, infect the rest of your tour group, and be banned from the stage for life.

At this point, you should quietly pack your armor onto your warhorse, steal off to Europe, and console yourself with some nice gelato.

I'm a clarinet major, but I'll offer to play something in which I have no experience, like timpani.
I do have one request, though: we only do covers of Men at Work, The Captain and Tennille and Styx. I'm ok with any style, though, as long as it incorporates timpani.
I love being a foregone conclusion.

Woohoo! A clarinet Major! MmmmmMMmmm. I'd love it if B.com played more Clarinet pieces!

I can agree whole heartedly with Men at Work and Styx, but who's The Captain and Tennille? (Googles) Ah, THAT'S who they are. Ok. I can sing background vocals to "Love will keep us together." and "Muskrat Love." My contract allows that. :D Especially if we can snag Toni to play snare. I'll always think of the Demento version of "Muskrat Love" though.

Toni is the cute half of "Captain and Tenille" Or at least in the day. We would need someone to keep us authentic, wouldn't we!?

OK, virtual band. I've posted the schedule for a real band in the Drum Corps Show thread.

Everybody go see a show.

Eat hot dogs and nachos.

Cheer!

Enjoy.

Didn't you get the $5 that I shoved into the A drive?

Shucks, I must have addressed it wrong.

So have we decided what type of band we want to be? I'm kind of digging the idea of a jazz band. We can also do a mix of styles? I think we have a variety of musicians and personal tastes so we may be able to pull of a mix of styles.

If we're gonna do a mix of styles, then I want the three sided cage of percussion that Scott Breadman of The Rippington's has...

Yes, yes, I do have instrument envy...
