A wonderful piece... but I think Elton John has a lot to answer for. Doesn't Funeral for a Friend sound like this? Well the opening at least.

Yeah, but what really irks me is that I want to know what big typed before he edited it out to guarantee the brevity prize. I'm not gonna be able to sleep tonight. Thanks a lot, guys.

Should a thread be started that will allow them to post faster and more often...say...favorite letter of the alphabet? Note in a scale? facial expression?

I love the Finlandia tune. During my time as a choir director I worked in the tune every chance I got. I remember one time in particular I had combined a couple of hymns in what I thought would provide a real spiritual experience. I closed the piece with the choir holding a note and allowing my soprano soloist to come in with the ending lines of "Be Sill My Soul". I could really feel the mood and the congregation was in the palm of my hand. As the soloist finished the room experienced a split second of silence before someone at the very back started his applause.
As it was, this guy was the only one who applauded and boy did his wife give it to him when they got home! Ha ha...it didn't really bother me much. It was still a great experience and you just can't predict how some people will react when overcome with emotion.

Ooh, I love hunting Snipe. Last time we went, I bagged 3 (the limit in Massachusetts). Needless to say, I was hungry that night at dinnertime.
