Nope. BUT, for a year I lived in a house with a larger than life TV and a roomie who loved to entertain. Two of our immediate co-workers were avid fans, so we used to host Formula One brunches pretty frequently. Senna was the fav driver of one of the two fans, therefore I was bummed to hear on radio a whiles back that he'd died.

Loved those on-the-car cameras!

My husband adores Formula racing. I think sometimes that we watch it and that my brain will fry with the around-the-track-all-the-time action that my eyes do.
I do enjoy watching formula myself sometimes, although I don't normally have a favorite driver. There are two brothers that race that I always root for though, simply because I think it's neat.

Darn! I guess I'll have to go to other forums to discuss the F1 races. I'm going to Indy next weekend to introduce my 6-year-old to F1 racing live. I can't wait to see the look on his face.

So yet another thread gets hijacked. When I was in the Army, stationed in Europe (1968-1969), I saw the Monaco Grand Prix and the German Grand Prix. I saw a couple of US Grands Prix at Long Beach. I've been a fan of open wheel racing since I found out about it, and F1 has to be the pinnacle class (although it would be nice if they and Indy cars could compete together like they did back in the 1960s for a few years).

And if I had the time and money (and skill and knowledge and tools) I'd love to build and race a Formula Ford - a moderately retro look (very, very sleek without all the wings and flaps) and just as pretty as a machine can get.

If you look in my profile, my picture is our much more photogenic Bouvier des Flandres named Tanda (short for Tananda). Tanda is a character from Robert Asprin's "Myth" sci-fantasy series. The next bouvier is going to be named Hoover (and we're NOT talking presidents). I would also love a pair of GSDs, just to name them Fafner and Fasolt.

Hubby and I have three daughters:
Leslie Noel has red hair, green eyes and a proper Scottish name, though we should've spelled it Lesley. Born on Dec 2, she was supposed to be our Christmas baby.

Little did we know that four years and four days later, daughter #2 would be born. She's Laura Michelle; Laura because of a dream (and Laura Ingalls Wilder), and a friend named Michelle, who introduced my husband and I.

Three years and four days later daughter #3 was born, Lynette Narelle. She was due on January 26, so a friend in Brisbane told me I should give her a "fair dinkum Aussie name". I did. Lyn's middle name is my friend's first name. Turns out my friend Narelle has a best friend named Lynette. Too funny. And by the way, Lynette is Welsh, not French (think Gareth and Lynette), meaning little pool.


And for those of you with a math fetish, that is three birthdays between Dec 22 and 30th. Just for the fun of it, hubby's b-day is Dec. 24th. (and yes, I've heard ALL the fertility jokes)

my kidz are fuzzy feline (surprise)!

Samekh(aka: Mz. Meow or Momma Meow) is my baby. a Rocky Mt. ferrel that was brought home to me at 2 months(she will be 3yrs in July). grey shorthair w/ peach stripes all over & amber eyes. favorite past times are catnip(total addict), playing, drinking from the toilet bowl, playing, sleeping under my chin & more playing. fav song: Pachebel's Cannon.

when i first got her i was working 2 jobs, weekends, nites, you name it. she used to cry when i left so a month later, i decided to go to the pound and get a kitten for company. then...

i adopted my man of the house, Nikodemus(aka: Nick, Nick-Dawg, Big Nick). he thinks he's a dog and was definitely NOT a kitten!! russian blue about 3 yrs old then, with these big ol' fangs that just hang from the side of his mouth (dubbed the last of the sabertooths). he's a pewter colored long hair, w/ teal eyes. when he stands on his hind legs, he comes up past my waist. he loves to talk and will for hours. Nick's favorite things are food, getting attention, hunting, getting attention and his stuffed chew toys.

i kid you not about the dog thing! follows me EVERYWHERE. favorite toy used to be the yardstick until it broke. he would carry this thing around the house like nothing.
