Con te partiro . . .much prettier like this. . .brought me to tears!

Kudos to Nicole for choosing this particular arrangement!

Yep. I thought that duet was crap myself. . .and was very happy to hear the Italian. Italian is so close to Spanish in some aspects, that I have little trouble following along with it and getting move of it.
Moved me to tears, it was so beautiful!

Oy! It reminded me again why I can't stand the guy. When he first started singing, I thought to myself "Has B.com started playing pop?"

Didn't sound anything like pop to me, but everyone has their own opinion. . .
I still like it better than Brightman. . .

What I meant was the vocal talent was at pop singer levels. I don't mind Brightman's vocal quality, but I wouldn't seek her music out. AB's voice just grates on me and I must turn it off.

More coffee, that's the thing! Though it isn't as early in you guyses day as it is in mine.

First time I heard "Con te partiro", it was at a high school graduation. RBHS was using Cox arena that year, which has excellent acoustics. One of the salutatorians had a lovely clear soprano, didn't make a speech - just sang the song.

It was stunning. Not a sound in the whole arena, for a couple of minutes after she finished, lots of kleenex visible (me included).

I'm waiting for the mid-morning slump at my polling place. Trying to be considerate for the 9-5 workday voters, doncha know. However, my sample ballot is researched, filled out & ready to go.

Re Katie, IT'S GREAT HAVING HER ON IN THE EVENINGS! THANK YOU! I'll try to pm her a Starbucks venti latte.

I'm not much of a morning person until I've had my lunch.

A 9 hour board shift? YIKES! Good luck, Katie. You're going to earn your pay today (not that you don't, but a shift like that takes some effort).

Oh wow -- that had to be incredible. And so very appropriate. Something no one will ever forget.

Voting: I got to my polling place at 6.45 and was #3 in line. Silly people have 2 precincts at one firestation. I can only imagine what insanity there will be at 6.00 tonight.
