We're experiencing something of a pregnancy-induced wine drought here. I'm not much of a lone drinker, so I'm following suit with my better half.
Actually I characterize myself as "ABC". Anything But Chardonnay, as a rule. Never been able to understand why it's so popular. Tastes more or less like turpentine to me.
I like really robust reds, as long as they're not too harshly tannic(i.e., not enough time in the cask).
I've recently warmed up to some lighter reds, especially as accompniment to salad/soup courses.
I adore a good champagne as well. We don't produce a decent one here in the US, IMNSHO, have to go to Fra....uh, I mean, Freedom for that.
Whites, anything from a good demi sec to good German wines.
The snob in me subscribes to the "White Zinfandel isn't really wine" theory.
