Naturally, my first thought was labor. And not the unpacking boxes kind.

We think we can save a few hundred in electric bills if we line the walls of the house with all the books we own. It adds a few inches of insulation all around, tho it does have a detrimental effect on the available square footage.

From what I'm hearing about electric rates on California, insulation is a good thing.
