Yikes! Hope not too much got washed away! I noticed that on the weather channel the other morning (I'm mostly free of my TV addiction, but can't live without my morning weather channel viewing).
Worst we've gotten in recent memory is ~4 inches in a day (probably over about 6 hours) with the remnants of Katrina. I was impressed she was that powerful after crossing most of the continential US south to north. Usually these things die out before they get to us. Same thing for nor'easters - don't usually get this far inland.
Someday we'll get to Hawaii....
