Lost is a soap opera. And it's the only broadcast series I watch. :o

Movies are in UPS box by my screen door, according to Amazon delivery tracking. Re-ordered Labyrinth. Again. Third time, they keep disappearing, but this time I found a special sooperdooper 2-disc version. Also finally going to see the Incredibles and got Dark Crystal again, too. (I like Fizzgig, he reminds me of a niece's longhaired chihuahua) Haven't seen Dark Crystal since the VHS tape broke.

David Bowie as the Goblin King. <sigh>

Whoa! Andromeda is canceled? Now what will I watch at 2 AM on a weekend when I should be sleeping.

This most recent season didn't make any sense anyway.

...on a deserted island, with crashed ships and planes and mysterious hatches and monsters (?). Does "All My Children" have that? (Although I remember a show called "Port Charles" that involved vampires.) Yes, "Lost" is rather good.

I got the "Frankenstein: The Legacy Collection" two-disc set from Borders a few weeks ago. It has Frankenstein, Bride of Frankenstein, and three more Universal-produced sequels; I only got it for the original and Bride.

All terrific movies Selma - I like your style! I grew up on Labyrinth, the Dark Crystal, The Neverending Story, The Secret of Nimh, and the Last Unicorn - all terrific movies!
BTW- were you aware that they're looking at making a new live-action version of the Last Unicorn - wow, right?

Did anyhone see Garden State? I have mixed feelings on it.
But Ray has to move into my top fifty. What a great story! It told me things I never knew and the acting was outstanding.

To no one in particular. Never assume a movie will be as good as the book. You cant put a book into a 120 minute movie.. the only exception I know of was 2002 A space odyssey and it made more sense than the book... except for the ending.

So true!
You are talking about the capacity of the human mind to absorb from written narrative quantities of information that are several orders of magnitude greater than that contained in staged scenes.
