Using your Beethoven.com email account with Outlook or other mail programs is very simple. You just need to set up an Internet Mail account with these settings:
Incoming Mail (POP3): mail.beethoven.com
Outgoing Mail (SMTP): mail.beethoven.com
IMPORTANT: In order for you to send mail, you need to make sure the Outgoing Mail Server settings have the box that says
"My server requires authentication" is checked. The settings for that can remain "Use same settings as my incoming mail server". This setting ensures that others cannot use our system to send spam to our or any other email accounts through us.
;)

Kevin,
I've tried setting up Outlook like your message indicates. Every time I try to retrieve mail to my inbox I get:
Ths POP3 server name you specified
cannot be found. Please check the name and try again.
I have mail.beethoven.com specified. I tried upping a server timeout limit to 1 minute and 30 seconds, but no luck.
Any ideas?
Regards,
Tim B.
