B.com evening host?

Andante, threads get hijacked all the time. There's no real rules about topic changes, although you can always do your best to get it back on track.

As far as the "attitude" remarks, it seems to be b.com's motto, so not only do they play their recorded remarks fairly often, the live announcers regularly identify the station as "beethoven radio - the station without the attitude." There have been several discussions on that "attitude" topic before, so the Mr. Sincere recording is, I believe, an attempt to explain that it's possible to enjoy orchestral music and not be a snoot.

Well, paid like slaves might be a slight overstatement - but probably not by much! Actually, when I started with Beethoven.com, I was the morning guy starting at 6AM! We started with 6 ALL LIVE air shifts 24 hours a day! Obviously, we were a little ahead of ourselves with Internet radio, but it was exciting, nonetheless. Of course we had all but 3 listeners some nights in the middle of the night, but who's counting?

Seriously, though, nothing would please me more than having live announcers around the clock (and the revenue and listeners to support it!), but first order of business is to get this business solid. All of you listeners who are so dedicated to Beethoven.com help with the SOOOO much, and we very much appreciate that. As we succeed, we'll do whatever we can to keep the station growing in the right direction. It's a real team atmosphere here and we all sacrifice to keep it going - and hopefully we'll all be rewarded for that someday. But, for the record, if I didn't work with such a passionately dedicated crew, we wouldn't even still be around!!

Thanks to all of you for helping make the effort worth it!

Kevin, I can't comment on whether or not the staff's efforts to make a good business at beethoven.com are paying off in the monetary sense, but I, for one, have made you my main Internet source. You accompany my work all day, your free email is about as good as anyone could ask for, and the BBB is full of people who seem intelligent (well, almost full...), I've even picked up a few goodies from your contests. What I'm saying is that, as a customer, I appreciate all the efforts to please ME, and they're working.

Yeah, HRH and I sometimes disagree, but that keeps it interesting. Heck, my wife and I sometimes disagree. And keep on playing Bolero!

Now, I gotta send some flowers and pick up a few CDs...
