It was a civil ceremony at, 'The Whitewalls'.
Whitewalls was formerly a farmhouse known as 'Hatlex Farm' and was originally three buildings merged into one in about 1900.
Date stones at the front of the house show construction as 1751 and 1829, the rear portion is circa 1700.
The building is listed as historical value and is one of the oldest in the locality.
The famous auto biographer and Quaker, William Stout (1665-1743) lived and died there, I can’t say I’ve ever heard of him.
