Paying off the election bet

I received many fine suggestions but there was no consensus so I started thinking......
I thought it wouldn't have been in the spirit of the wager to donate to something politically motivated (ACLU, Dem or Rep parties etc.). I wanted something non-sectarian, religiously and socially. Since so much of this election revolved around servicemen and their families I was able, with Shapley's assistance, to locate a recipient. The donation went to the Armed Forces Relief Trust. Haggis had a couple of suggestions, as well, but I can't find them here on the BBB. I'm willing to accept nominations for others, but will reject those that run counter to my Catholic beliefs, or which have a record of poor performance. (These rules I set down upon taking the wager.

Under the original wager, I owe $50, but I have offered to put up another $50, which I will donate to the second-highest vote-getter (and I don't mean to John Kerry!).

I'm voting for either of the children's hospitals. There's an excellent Shriners Hospital for Children in Springfield, MA. I might even donate $50 there, I'm so moved by Republican (and non-Republican) largesse. I'm proud of you guys.

I am ashamed to admit I forgot completely about the Armed Forces Relief Trust, even, as I was reminded by a friend, that a common friend sits on AFRT's board!

I donated $50 to AFRT last night. I tried to post the HTM acknowledgement but lack the technical expertise to do so.
