New site design

Awesome new site design! Except for the apparently broken link to the music log, it is working beautifully, from what I have seen so far.

Thanks for the nice comments. We love the new site too. The real thanks should go to New Wave Industries, they designed it. And a big thanks to Chris Larsen! He put all the pieces together. The site still has a bug or two that we are working on. If you notice anything please let us know so we can fix it. When you find a glitch post it here on the board or send an email to helpme@beethoven.com

Now if you could just fix the bulletin board so you jump directly to the new posts when you hit the down arrow in "Today's Active Topics". This would be instead of first jumping to the begining of the page. One of the first rules in web design is don't break the back arrow. If I have to hit back twice, or three times in the event of a new page, after I hit forwards once, I consider that broken.

Again, thanks for adding the quick reply option at the bottom.

The forum name works perfectly to send me to the most recent post - and the back arrow goes to the "active today" listing, too. The whole "chair" ranking thing is going to be an ongoing joke, I suspect.

I'm still getting used to the new look but it is very professional and tidy. I sort of miss the purple, but then I will admit to being neither professional nor tidy.

Sorry our mistake. That link is fixed (as in not there). But if you want to check our the CT Classical Guitar Society visit them at CCGS.org

When is the bug on the "now playing" screen going to be fixed. It's a real pain. I'm paying for the real player connection that keeps screwing up because the script has a major error in it.

Here is the posting reply from Real
Line: 115
Char: 3
Error: Expected
Code: O
URL:www.beethoven.com/nowplaying.html

It doesn't matter whether you click "Yes" to continue with the scripting errors or "No" to continue without the script. It replays itself and overlays every other window about every 30 seconds. It needs to be attended too. Please fix it!

Is anyone else having trouble making a request while on the BB? I click the request button but don't get the form, just a blank white screen below a brown header that says 'Requests'. I'm unable to type on it or see my mouse pointer and there are no GUI buttons either visible or coming up when the mouse passes over them.

Well, I'm able to listen and get the bulletin board but it appears that the other drop down menu links on the masthead all are suffering from the same disease as the 'request' link. It can't be systemwide as they're playing requests, must be in this computer somewhere. I have music and the BB so I can't complain much.

How embarassing! :o I feel for you folks. All it took was a quick reboot and all your site problems disappeared! Don't bother to thank me, my bill will follow. :D

Hi GC-

I'll let Chris Larsen, our IT guy, know about this glitch. We have found some really odd glitches with all the new programs running the site. Sorry about that, we'll look into it.
