We'd love to work out a system where you pay us directly. But to do that we'd have to buy a ton of equipment to make that happen. We'd also have to deal with collecting money, payments etc. This would require extra staff, more equipment etc. and at this point we are exploring it but not rushing out to do it.
As for why Real and not another pay-for-play? They gave us the best deal based on our current position. Plus we sized up the other classical stations on Real... none compare! It's not competition. Believe me.
I'm patiently awaiting my high speed internet and I will sign up.
