Am I the only one using Firefox who sees the name 'operatenor' in the e-mail log-in on the BBB main page after the whole page downloads?

P.S. The menu fix.....excellent Chris!

Firefox won't play Candystand's billiards & Mah Jong games either. Again, it keeps asking for a plug-in. I.E. plays them straight off.

Candystand has the best Mah Jong & billiards games I've found.

Other than that, Firefox is fine. It's happy with the BBB, including playing the music.

OT, your link just raves about Firefox and its superiority to IE Explorer but you seem to be the only one with the IT problems here

Opera!

Just because of the name alone, everyone here should try it. :)

I've been using Firefox for a week, and so far it's worked fine. I like the built-in popup blocker (although I had the Google Toolbar with Internet Explorer), the tab feature (for when I have the Internet and two MS Paint windows and my Media Player and word documents open. Everything seems much more streamlined and friendly than IE.

Besides, its logo is much cooler than IE's. :p

I used the Google toolbar as well with Internet Exploder - it was the only thing keeping me sane while using Exploder.

I like how Google is integrated with the FireFox default home page.

After four months, it has yet to let a single popup through.

I'm tempted to install Firefox but after reading several posts, links and troubleshooting info I am having second thoughts. It looks like there is a lot of tinkering to get it going to your satisfaction.

Has anyone had any problems besides the ones listed here? Will the installation alter or conflict with any IE6 or Windows files?

I feel like I am standing on the 5 meter platform of a pool, staring down at the water and wondering if I should take the plunge. Except it's not water, it's some other liquid that other users tell me is fine.

Serenity,
I loaded it, and run it. And am a complete dummy re hardware/software/firmware/etc.
It works dandy. Its just like using IE so far as I can tell, except its not supporting micro-monopoly-soft, which I think is a good thing.

I do like that I can put a few reallyotrulio favs on a menu bar for easiest access.

All my WORD, Excel, powerpoint, email etc work just like they are supposed to.

That's encouraging, thanks. I'll have some lunch first and then try to close everything down so I can install it.
