Looks OK to me. Different versions of browser?

No staff pix for me, no blank areas, what's the motion gif?

Nice set of links to "today's topics" at the bottom of the page now, though. I guess Chris is back from vacation.

i show the same thing you do with large blank areas and triplet lines across the screen. motion gif (beethoven radio banner w/ pic of staff). if you click on it, it'll open up a new browser window to the home page.

what are you using for a browser?

gotta go. JSB's on air. this takes up all my immediate attention.

Welcome to the Pit lioness. Would you care to give a little background on the nickname?

I tried the homepage with Netscape and it looks normal.

Using FireFox, I still have no pulldown menus on any of the pages when I position the cursor over them.

Can we possibly get the site user-friendly for FireFox?

Thanks.

i can view the 'normal' site for right now.

BigJon: it stems from a very heavy feline energy i have had all my life. i'm also the 'momma-meow' to both my kidz (fuzzy ones that is). however, as i progress through this life, it has more and more of an adept spiritual nature for me.

It's back to normal now.

The motion gif had a beethoven.com logo banner that changed to a picture of Eric at the left, then added Dan, then added Nicole, then added a silhouette with a question mark inside it labeled Don, then cycled around again.

Whenever I log on using firefox, I get a brief glimpse of what looks like code in the upper left corner of a white screen, then I get to see all the pretty pix that I'm supposed to be seeing.

"Ignore the man behind the curtain!"
"Weeeeeee're OFF to see the Wizard....!"

Right now Im using IE, and I'm not seeing the links to Today's topics that Selma mentioned. I do see a lovely dropdown menu to each of the individual forums. I'd love to link directly to the active topics. I dont have the patience to search each forum to see whats new.

The "current topics" line-up is below Nicole's webcam picture.

The front page is still buggy; I get the bare links for a brief visit while the gifs load. Then the links turn into dropdown menus and all is well.

Jim, in Firefox if you click Ctrl + <any of the menu headers> you'll get a tab under any toolbars you have open. Clicking this tab will take you to a page that displays the main menu topic as well as the other choices from the drop-down menu for whatever header you clicked. You must close these tabs by right clicking on the tab and choosing 'close tab'. If you try closing it by clicking on the 'x' in the upper right corner you'll get a message telling you 'you are trying to close 2 (or more) tabs. Do you want to do this?'. Not quite as convenient as IE here but not a problem once you get used to it and no adserver pop-up every time you log on.

I also continue to see 'operatenor' in the get my e-mail login box if I wait for the entire page to download when using Firefox. This doesn't happen when I use IE.

Hope this provides at least a temporary fix for the problem

Btw, I sometimes have to use the Ctrl + when clicking on a link in the messages. This seems to be a sporadic occurence. Perhaps I'll get the courage to make the BBB a trusted site and see if that makes the menus drop down. I'll report on this later.

Doesn't do that for me. All it does is open another toolbar with the same page I had open previously.

FireFox kills every popup every time for me. I have yet to see it let one through.

Here's some info about the bugs:

Firefox Menus: Fixed as of today.

Old images on the homepage: We had a problem with the database server on Wednesday that I was able to rectify. (We ran out of disc space due to database backup files... hurumph..)

Stuttering stream: One of our T1 lines was stuck in a diagnostic mode. I called the phone company, they checked it, called back to say there was no problem and lo and behold the line was fixed. Phun with Phone companies.

Sorry for the trouble everyone. Thanks!
Sincerely,

Hi Chris,

You do whatever you need to to stay happy at B.com, IMNSHO, because we'd all be up $&it creek without you!

Yes, pulldown menus are now working on FireFox, thank you so very much!
