It gave Chris fits for days last time it happened. Piq and I were stuck in the evil alter BBB for a few days as well as Bones' lost Mozart's Skull thread. It didn't matter how many times we logged off and back on, we would come back to a BBB the was stalled on a previous date to the current date, but would accept new posts(which are absent from this, the current BBB). The only thing I can figure as to why both Piq and I were stuck there simultaneously is that we are networked here at home, even though that shouldn't have any bearing, since our logins are seperate.

I think both Saxy and Hal have had some strange occurences. Sorry, I thought you had too. I think it was that you kept replying "Gremlins" to those who expressed problems that made me make the association. :D

Troubleshooting is an apropo term, IMNSHO(in my not-so-humble opinion - Fred). 12-gauge ought to do it.

OT,
I've been joking each time I reply with Gremlins.
Reminds me of 2 things:

Bugs bunny cartoon where he was doing somehting with a spaceship and the gremlins kept trying to mess him up
and
Twilight Zone with William Shatner on the plane
where the gremlin was out to destroy the plane.

:)

Oh no, by all means, joke!

At least I thought it was funny....

Besides, what's the worst that can happen? I lose my BBB registration......and my post count........my bragging rights....................and my status(such that it is).................

I think I have an ice cream headache........

BTW - I think this Bach arrangement playing now is a bit slow. Just my taste.

I have a pm notification, and I get the following message when I attempt to access my profile:

"An error has occurred:

Please inform the board administration of this error so that they may fix the problem. Thank you!

Help me, super Chris Larsen!

I'm going to ask the obvious question. Did you report to helpme@beethoven.com ? Like NM has suggested on the air?

I've also used the requests button to message the DJ on the air, other times when somebody keeps posting about the same problem; the chat board is not as good a communication medium as a targeted e-mail.

OT,
Scott has announced a number of times that they were in the process of upgrading and if anyone experiences any problems to email them to B.com help.
Hope your problems go away soon.

Yeah, HRH is saying the same thing on the afternoon show. Just hang in, I would think.

I've e-mailed Chris and Nicole directly with no reply. I've tried the helpme address in the past and it bounces every time.

I haven't been listening the last couple of days, so I haven't heard any announcements.

Believe it or not, I do try more than one channel of communication.

As you can see, it hasn't kept me from posting. :p

I'm not the only person having difficulties. How many people have reported missing/incomplete posts and false pm notifications? I seem to be the only one who can't access their profile, but last time this happened, GC was the only poster who couldn't access his profile, so if it only affected one person last time, it's logical to accept that it's only affecting one person this time while all of this other stuff is occurring.

The other reason I kept bumping the original post was that Nicole and/or Chris have a history of promptly posting a message on the BBB acknowledging a certain problem and are usually good about giving progress reports. There have been no posts from either of them this time, and it's been almost a week since it started.

I figure if they're having server problems they'd want to know about it.

Still no replies to my e-mails(I re-sent to Nicole today), still getting error message when I try to access my profile, still get notification of 4 unread pm's.

Email looks fixed! Kudos to Chris and his staff of experts, and my guess is it was a monster to fix.

Now it's 6 unread private messages, I still get the error message when I try to access my pm's, I've re-e-mailed the world, I e-mailed helpme@b.com - got the boilerplate standard reply, and otherwise have heard nothing.

Tomorrow, it's the use the request line trick.
